MINORITY RIGHTS, ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AND POLITICAL STABILITY: THE AFRICAN EXPERIENCE
The trend of the paper is, first, to discuss the African position on minority rights, the factor underpinning it and the consequences flowing from the implementation of this policy. In undertaking this exercise, I will devote attention to a critique of the Universalist and cultural relativist perspectives and their impact on the promotion of minority rights in Non-Western states.
